There is a strong tradition of hurling in St Brendan's, with lots of our past pupils representing Loughrea and the Galway county teams, both at underage and senior level.
Many of the boys love to bring their hurls (and helmets!) into school to play at break and lunch times, when the weather is fine. We have two fantastic pitches where the boys can play. We also run hurling league tournaments between classes, with each child who wishes to play getting an opportunity to do so.
